Ms. Lucia Liu


Lucia Liu created C&C Educenter to support the unique educational needs of the Chinese community in Calgary, AB and around the world. Lucia has also created the C&C Foundation to give back to the larger community here and in China through many charitable works.

Lucia has an extensive background in education, including a Masters of Teaching Degree from the University of Calgary with a specialty in teaching English as a Second Language (2013), an English Teaching Degree from the University of Qiqihar (1988), 15 years teaching Secondary English in China, and 16 years teaching Elementary to University level in Calgary, AB, Canada. Throughout her many years of teaching, Lucia has also taught Mandarin, Psychology and other Humanities courses. Furthermore, she has specialized in working with students who are both English Language Learners and students with Special Needs.

For the last 8 years, Lucia has worked as a coordinating teacher which among other responsibilities entailed the assessment and consultation of diverse learning students. This administrative position required close collaboration and cooperation with the principals, teachers, consultants, students and parents.

Lucia was the Principal of the Chinese Cultural Center’s Accredited Academy, a K-12 school-based in Calgary, AB, for 4 years.

Lucia was also the organizer of the Covid-19 Chinese Community Resources Group which distributed donated 70,000 items of personal protective equipment (PPE) to health care and other social organizations within North America.
